This recipe is part of an incredible project that demonstrates what it looks like when local businesses band together. The COVID-19 pandemic brought about numerous challenges for local businesses, but it also paved the way for unique collaboration opportunities. Dyana's Aji, Infusion Ginger Soy Sauce, & KICS Lemonade Baked Chicken

Introductions


The three companies involved in today's recipe Dyana's Aji, Infusion Ginger Soy Sauce, and KICS Gourmet Products!


Jason's founding of Infusion Soy Sauce (@infusionsoysauces) was a culmination of his background (as a butcher for 39 years and being part of a long lineage of farmers) and his appreciation for quality, innovative products that give people a lasting impression through their experiences with his creations. His Soy Sauces are traditionally fermented in Japan and then infused and packaged in Canada. They are also non-GMO verified and vegan. Check out his products here.


Karen is the genius behind this and all of the recipes in this series! Karen is the owner of Kics Lemonade (@kicslemonade), which offers artisan lemonade mixes, cocktail syrups, and salad dressings. Check out all of her yummy products here.


Did you know that the varieties of Dyana'sAji that we have now have not always existed? For example, we used to have an Aji BBQ sauce! We love to experiment with flavours and will bring out limited lines from time to time (much like our more recently discontinued marinara). We are also always planning on new flavours - maybe an Aji chimichurri could be next or a mango something? If you want to learn more about us, our website's "about us" section is linked here.


Now that we have re-introduced everyone let's get into the recipe!

Recipe


Time Required


Prep: 5-10 Minutes Marinade: 1-2 hours or overnight

Cook: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Dyana's Aji (find your heat preference here)

  • 1/4 cup of Infusion Ginger Soy Sauce (buy here)

  • 1/2 cup KICS Lemonade Syrup (buy here)

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or wings

  • Lemon* garnish

  • Cilantro* garnish

Directions


Step 1: Make Marinade

  • Combine Dyana’s Aji, Infusion Ginger Soy Sauce, and KICS Lemonade Syrup.

Step 2: Infuse those flavours ;)

  • Put chicken in the marinade for 1-2 hours or overnight.

Step 3: Get Cookin’

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Transfer chicken to an oven-safe dish and cook for 40 minutes. Save the marinade.

Step 4: Get Saucy

  • Put the marinade in a saucepan bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 5: Bring it all together!

  • Pull out the chicken and top with the sauce. Garnish with lemon and cilantro and serve with any side (pasta, rice, or salad)!
